Spring daffodils

You will need:

  • An egg box
  • Some thick card
  • A wooden skewer (or drinking straw if you haven't got those)
  • Yellow and green paint

How to:

  1. Cut out the egg box "bumps" so that you have six egg cup shapes.
  2. Cut out some basic daisy-type flower shapes from the card.
  3. Stick your egg box cup into the middle of the card flower to make a daffodil shape.
  4. Attach your straw or skewer to the back of the flower as a stem.
  5. Paint your daffodil yellow and the stem green!
  6. If you want to, make some leaves from green paper and attach to the stem.

Tips:

if you have blue egg boxes and you want properly yellow daffodils, paint them white first - if you put yellow paint on blue egg boxes your daffodils will look slightly green.

Use thick corrugated card for the flower part - then you can poke your skewer stem into the card instead of sticking it on the back.
